You are here:  HomeWhere We Work

Our main lab and office premises are located in Kampala on Plot 4-6 Bell Close, Old Port Bell Road in Luzira near Uganda Prisons close to Murchisons Bay, Lake Victoria.

Our field sites are located in Northern Uganda which has the highest malaria transmission intensity in the world. This region also has a high prevalence of hepatitis B and neglected tropical diseases (NTDs) like schistosomiasis, lymphatic filariasis, onchocerciasis, and recently the enigmatic Nodding Disease Syndrome. There have been recent outbreaks of Ebola and Yellow Fever. We have conducted a Phase Ib malaria vaccine trial in Lira Town (ISRCTN 71619711). The current field sites are located in:

Apac Town, Apac District
Lira Town, Lira District
St. Mary Lacor Hospital, Gulu District
