You are here:  HomeWhere We WorkField Sites

Our field sites are located in Northern Uganda which has the highest malaria transmission intensity in the world. This region also has a high prevalence of hepatitis B and neglected tropical diseases (NTDs) like schistosomiasis, lymphatic filariasis, onchocerciasis, and recently the enigmatic Nodding Disease Syndrome. There have been recent outbreaks of Ebola and Yellow Fever. We have conducted a Phase Ib malaria vaccine trial in Lira Town (ISRCTN 71619711). The current field sites are located in:

Apac Town, Apac District
Lira Town, Lira District
St. Mary Lacor Hospital, Gulu District
