About us
Med Biotech Laboratories was registered in Uganda on 18th September 1996 as a non-profit company limited by guarantee with Certificate of Incorporation # 33226 and on 30th May 1997 and 25th August 2000 as a Non-Governmental Organization Certificate of Registration # S.5914/I480.

Mission
Our mission is to enable Ugandans enjoy good health by undertaking cutting edge research in the life sciences focusing on preventable endemic diseases which menace our children’s lives and human capital development in life sciences research.

Vision
Our vision is a world in which malaria and other killer diseases have been eradicated.

Our Board
We are governed by a small and cohesive founding Board of Directors who shared the vision about two decades ago that a non-government laboratory would make an impact on public health needs and who still share a commitment to the mission and visoin of Med Biotech Laboratories in the medical, social, environmental domains.

	Dr. Thomas Egwang Dr. Egwang  has professional degrees in veterinary medicine (BVM, Uganda),  parasitology (MS, Canada), immunology  (PhD, Canada) between 1973-1983; on top of this, he trained in business administration (MBA, Tanzania/Netherlands) during 2007-2009 .
